situation of Anacardium is that of a kind of child abuse. Overstrict parents impose all their desires on the child and do not allow him to think or do anything on his own. He cannot take his own decisions, to the extent that he is not allowed even to decide what clothes he should wear. If he starts taking his own decisions or does not live up to the expectations placed upon him, he will be punished cruelly. So he tries to live up to these expectations by being obedient and angelic in his behaviour, and by being excellent in his work. But he begins to develop a lack of self-confidence, and becomes nervous. He is irresolute, because the outcome of his decisiveness is usually a severe punishment. If the domination persists and he is compelled to put up with it, he starts reacting with cruelty, malice, want of moral feeling, and antisocial behaviour. Here he may also develop a tremendous overconfidence with contempt for others. But Anacardium can be very hard and cruel, and at the same time have a lack of self-confidence.

The characteristic of the Anacardium personality is quite dramatic, and hard to miss, providing that the patient feels sufficiently at ease with the homeopath to be open with him. The old materia medicas stress the divided nature of anacardium’s will. this division is between a normal, sensitive personality, and a sharply contrasting perverse or ‘demonic’ subpersonality, which attempts to possess the individual and prompt him to commit obscene acts. ( ‘He is persuaded by his evil will to do acts of violence and injustice, but is restrained by a good will’.)

The mind appears to be feeble, all his senses seems to vanish and gropes around as if in a dream.

They have fixed ideas. He thinks he is double. This comes from a vague consciousness that there is a difference between the external and internal will, a consciousness that one will is the body and another is the mind.

Duality of mind, like I can’t do it, I have to do it. Thinks he’s possessed of two person or will. Feels he has two wills, one commanding to do what other forbids.

There is irresistible desire to curse and swear. compulsion to curse at others in violent sexual language. Tendency to use violent language.

A milder form of anxiety is often seen in Anacardium people in the form of a lack of self-confidence. Impaired memory, absent mindedness. There is sudden loss of memory. And patient is disturbed by his forgetfulness, Lack of confidence in himself or others.

Easily offended

Malicious, seems bent on wickedness. Suspicious , doubts everything around him. Takes bad side of everything and becomes violent.

He is in a continuous controversy with himself. Irresolution marks his character. He cannot settle between doing this and that, he hesitates and often does nothing. He cannot decide, especially in an action of good or evil.

Clairaudient, hears voices far away or of the dead.

Senile dementia, absence of all moral restraint.

A strange temper, laughs at serious matter and becomes serious over laughable matter.

Dwells on thoughts about salvation.

Anxiety and feeling of impending misfortune.

When walking, is anxious, as if someone were pursuing him, suspects everything around him. Dwells on thoughts about salvation. COWARDICE.

We can find three stages in anacardium..

1. Low self confidence yet. urge to perform. ( I can’t do it, I have to do it)
2. Sudden loss of memory when time to perform.
3. Anger out of frustration which leads to aggressive cursing, abusive and swearing.
